Did you know?

  • Although they made the initial contact, we are now the ones calling them as if we worked for your admissions department.
  • You should treat FirstConnect leads the same as any lead who requested info by mail or e-mail.

What’s Next?: FirstConnect Strategy

Don't overanalyze FirstConnect leads. As mentioned before, when we call these leads, it's as if our ASR is the assistant in your admissions department and is calling to say, "We received your request for information. Our admissions representative needs to ask you a few short questions so that we can better help you. Do you have a few moments now?" This lead is no different than if you were to make a follow-up call yourself.

Although they initiated the communication with a written or typed request for info, we are responding by calling them. That should be your cue to transition into your standard approach after a short statement like, "Jim, this is Mr. Johnson from admissions. I am glad you were available so that I can get a bit more information in order to better help you."

At that point, you can go right into your first question, like, "So, Jim, how long have you been thinking about making a career change?" At this point, you should be able to treat your FirstConnect lead the same as any other lead you would follow up on after receiving an info request by mail or e-mail.
